Leslie Morioka

Leslie is thrilled to be involved in a new approach to engaging youth in inventing innovative and novel solutions to the countless challenges to our blue planet. Born and raised in Hawai’i, always being close to the ocean during all those years, Leslie has always wanted to learn more about nature in a scientific way. She therefore pursued science in her undergraduate studies at Barnard College and graduate studies at Cornell University Graduate School of Medical Sciences. Combined with a law degree, she pursued a legal career in patent litigation for more than 25 years. She also has experience in environmental litigation and wants to use her skills and experience toward environmental justice solutions.
